After spending 10 years traveling across the United States attending trade shows and conferences as the Vice President of Marketing for DirectEmployers Association, Nancy Holland saw the homeless population increasing in big and small cities across the country. Seeking to make a difference for the homeless and armed with the knowledge of labor market shifts causing a lack of skilled labor, Nancy began to research the opportunities available to transition the homeless back into the workforce.

Building on Success

Nancy discovered there are many organizations having great success with creating tiny home villages especially in the northwest United States. The key to success is a community center facility that provides programs for rehabilitation, apprenticeships and training the homeless for the purpose of transitioning them into the workforce.

In August of 2018 we launched DE Serves, A Tiny Act of Kindness Tiny Homes for the Homeless, our charitable nonprofit organization dedicated to creating these self-managed communities of cost-effective tiny homes for the homeless.
